Charlotte Heart Ball 2015
Every year, the American Heart Association puts together The Charlotte Heart Ball, one of the region’s premier black-tie events. For 57 years, the Greater Charlotte Heart Ball has attracted the city’s largest companies and most recognized corporate, healthcare and social leaders. It is a unique evening designed to celebrate the success of their year-round campaign and the generosity of individuals in our community. This year it was held on Feb. 7th at the Nascar Hall of Fame Crown Ballroom, and as usual, they outdid themselves. Guests were able to walk the red carpet, have their pictures taken, then go inside where a plethora of auction items awaited them. The items ranged from luxury trips, jewelry, original artworks, cases of wine, etc. The auction was followed by dinner, and dancing. There were 1200 attendees, and the event sold out in advance.
History of Event
“Through the incredible support of our corporate and individual partners, the Greater Charlotte Heart Ball has raised millions of dollars over the last half century to reduce disability and death from cardiovascular diseases and stroke. Yet cardiovascular diseases still cause 31 percent of all deaths in North Carolina and continue to be the #1 killer of men and women in our state.
The Greater Charlotte Heart Ball is an annual celebration of the amazing work of our corporate and individual partners. This extraordinary evening includes a seated dinner, live and silent auctions, music and entertainment. Each year the Heart Ball’s unique theme is anxiously anticipated by the community and speaks to the mission through an exciting display of spectacular décor.”
Many thanks to Susan Fisher and Jennifer Phillips who work tirelessly to make this event a huge success each year.
